We’ll start off with Challah Baking with the Experts on Thursday January 19th at 10 a.m. with the opportunity to bake regular, vegan and gluten free challah with Rabbi Ruhi Sophia, Judy Boles and Kellee Weinhold.
The challah we bake will be available for purchase on Friday for $5 per loaf.
We’ll use that same challah for our MK Sunday Brunch on January 22nd (9:00 a.m -11:30 a.m.) where we will serve challah French toast, scrambled eggs or tofu and home fries as well as coffee and tea. ($5-20 sliding scale)
As with all Mitzvah Kitchen events, we have the opportunity to participate in four ways:
1) Provide the ingredients by shopping for groceries.(We are using SignUP to help keep track. Here is the link. http://signup.com/go/nJEsNz)
2) Bake, cook and/or serve the food. (We are using SignUP to help keep track. Here is the link. http://signup.com/go/nJEsNz)
3) Dine with friends and family (Let us know you are coming here so we can plan for food)
4) Donate directly to the event (Choose Temple Fund and add “mitzvah kitchen in the notation here).

Looking forward, February’s Mitzvah Kitchen will be February 12th with the return of Deli Night and a Movie. This year we’ll show Fiddler on the Roof complete with lyrics and a sing along.. Stay tuned for more information!
