Thanks for a great summer, campers!
Check back in the spring to learn more about Camp Chaverim 2027!
About Camp Chaverim
Camp Chaverim is a local community camp for all children, regardless of your family's religious affiliation. "Chaverim" means "friend" in Hebrew-and our goal is to build and foster friendship.
At Camp Chaverim, we emphasize a fun and meaningful Jewish cultural experience and are open to all, regardless of Jewish knowledge, practice, or connection to TBI. You don't need to be a TBI member or even involved with TBI to attend, and we look forward to a great variety of backgrounds and perspectives!
What can you expect at Camp Chaverim?
-
Building community and friendships
-
Energetic music
-
Daily excursions to a park or playground
-
Physical activity including GaGa ball and Jewish folk dancing
-
Nutritious snacks
-
Daily crafts
-
Learning about Jewish values like wisdom, kindness, social action, and pursuit of peace
-
And so much more!
At Camp Chaverim, we begin and end our camp day with an opening and closing circle, where we sing and play music, build togetherness, and learn. Camp culminates on Friday, with an end-of-week program, where families are invited to join us for a camp celebration and showcase of the learning and projects completed during the week.
Camp Chaverim Staff
Camp is directed by TBI's Director of Youth and Family Education, as well as a dedicated Assistant Camp Director, with years of summer camp experience.
Camp is staffed by experienced teens, primarily from the Talmud Torah (TBI's religious school) community. Staff are assisted by middle school-aged madrichim (leaders) in training.
Camp Scholarships
Scholarships are available for anyone in need of financial assistance with the enrollment fees! Apply for a Federation Scholarship.
